Basic Map Reading & Land Navigation Course for First Responders and Search & Rescue Teams
This is a 2-Day course at the Rekkr Tactical training facility.

This program provides practical exercise training of fundamental land navigation skills and map reading.
‣Students will learn basic map reading and the utilization of tools and maps. They will learn how to interpret terrain data from a map and how it will affect their mission. They will learn how to plan and plot tactical routes. They will receive instruction on how to employ GPS and cell phones as additional tools for rural operations. Field exercises will include pace count determination, a compass course, and point-to-point map reading and land navigation.

Surveillance Operations for Law Enforcement

LE Basic Sniper February 26-29
This is a 4-day course at the Rekkr Tactical training facility.

The purpose of this course is to train SWAT personnel in the technical skills and operational procedures necessary to deliver precision rifle fire in support of special operations. The emphasis in this school will be on precision marksmanship at longer ranges and the ability to achieve first round (cold bore) hits with precision accuracy (1 M.O.A or less).

The purpose of this course is to train experienced SWAT Snipers & Precision Rifle Operators in the advanced technical skills and operational procedures necessary to deliver precision rifle fire in support of special operations. The emphasis in this school will be on precision marksmanship at longer ranges, reading and calculating wind. engaging targets at distance under windy conditions, utilization of tripods, positional shooting techniques, gear and equipment inclusive of modifications and operability. Shooters will engage multiple targets, moving targets, and targets requiring improvised shooting positions. Cost $195.00

This is a 1-Day course at the Rekkr Tactical training facility.

The Tactical Medical Course for First Responders program is designed to define a Medical Threat Assessment, to include a medical plan for a tactical operation. Students will learn how to apply techniques to control life threatening bleeding during Care under Fire in a (HOT ZONE). Additionally, they will perform techniques to treat life threatening and non-life threatening injuries during Tactical Field Care in a (WARM ZONE). During the program students will demonstrate lifting, moving and extricating victims from a tactical or hostile environment during Tactical Evacuation Care.

LE Patrol Rifle Instructor Course
This 5 Day Instructor Course ran in conjuction with Piedmont Regional Criminal Justice Training Academy, provides the certified firearms instructor with the additonal training required for VA DCJS approval for instructing trainees on proper utilization, operation, and handling of the patrol rifle.
The course requires a department issued patrol rifle, sling, optics or iron sights, 500 rounds of ammunition, and a weapons cleaning / maintenance kit. Additional items will be provided in a packing list emailed to the attendee upon registration.
Lodging assistance is available for agencies upon request.

Law Enforcement Sniper Challenge
This is a one day event: The competition will be open only to currently certified and retired law enforcement snipers. You may compete individually or as a team. Rules and regulations will be distributed to attendees post-registration. The trophy will be awarded to the department or agency with the highest accumulative score and they will hold the title “as long as they can”
